Squeezed

Went to lunch with my former colleagues, and their talk about work bitch session made clear to me that they are no better off than I am. Theay being pushed and driven beyond reason.

Reminds me of working in the bindery in Long Prairie in the nineties. How there were people who’d woeked there for years and were just getted the juice squeezed out of them.
Things used to run at a more human pace, they’d say, and quality mattered. As time went on, bigger and faster machines were added, and the speeds at which those machines ran were constantly turned up. An old story, really. But it was gradually and certainly killing them.
That’s what the current situation reminds me off–people being sqeezed.
