Remembering the weekend. Family took a nice bike ride on Saturday after an infinite amount of pissing and whining. I had gone to work in the morning and when I came back I racked the bikes on the back of the van. The day was the ultimate perfect autumn day. . .
Every street, every corner astonished. We rode around Lake Harriet, stopped at the elf door (which was insulated shut–he’s gone south for the winter), had an ice cream cone at the pavilion, rode the streetcar with Liam, and then stopped to visit Kerri. She and her friend were home watching the Twins play the Yankees.
Jean, the retired lady down the street, has a cocker spaniel that just had puppies. I feel an impending sense that we’ll be getting one of those puppies. Stay tuned.
